Recombinant DNA Technology

This one's a long one to explain the whole process of obtaining recombinant DNA. I know I had to speed up a bit in class, so I trust that this will give you an opportunity to view it at your own pace and try to further understand the process. Ask if you have any problems ok.

Wow im finally giving out the first comment on a new post!

(see how rajin i am! XD!)

I was always facinated by mans inherent interest in playing god. Y'know? cloning and crating life from nothing and changing our bodies to suit our needs (or wants).

I just hope its for the betterment of mankind for a change....

hahahahah, did i just see a man made out of DNA stands in the flash? that guy looks damn funny.

I think we should just accept who are and how we're created. Doing this kind of things show that we don't appreciate God's creation.

Am I right to say that?

sir what is recombinant DNA?

Anonymous said...

recombinant DNA @ genetic engineering is when you take DNA from 2 different organisms and recombine them so that one particular organism shows characteristics that come from the other organism. does that answer you question? ;)

To explain my earlier deep and profound brain things in my previous post....

You see, there is nothing wrong with wanting to better ourselves for our own sake but is wrong to want to do so just to best others (to show off).
That is why i beleive that if you ARE unhappy with yourself then think of how you can change to make yourself a better person/human being/citizen/you know what i mean.
However... i am strongly against anyone who changes for the sake of pleaseing others. Get over the 'keeping up with the joneses' attitude you know?

Yeah i know it has very little to do with bio... XD!

yes it definitely has very little to do with biology but lots to do with nature and this IS a natural science blog isn't it now. ;)
i think the real issue is being able to accept yourself for who you are. yes we seek to improve ourself the best we know how but at the end of the day we can only do so much no? we are limited by our own strength or the lack of it.
