Action potential and synapse

As promised, I managed to get animations to help us better understand the movement of action potential.

http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/sites/0072437316/student_view0/chapter45/animations.html#

The site above has a few animations on the subject but the one on the action potential movement is the one called action potential propagation. However, it only explains as far as the 'local circuit' and does not go on to explain about the sodium and potassium ion movement. Looking for an animation on that one is a bit more tricky.

Apart from that, here's another site with a good animation on synapse.

It is said that a magneto fiber cable transmits impulses the same way our nerve cells work. However the MFC is not use to transmit information but as a means to propel object at a high rate of speed across land. Japan and Germany are currently working on a system of this nature to 'replace' todays 'bullet-train' as the superconductors used in the manufacture of the trains tracks are extremely expensive ...

Makes our LRT seem a little last century doesn't it? ... XD!

magneto fibre cables? you sure you didnt get that out of xmen or something? but regardless where you got this info from, our LRT is a lot last century. ;) but i'm still proud of it!

Yeah i thought so too when i first saw it but yes it is called magneto fibre cables ... -_-"

BTW I proud of our LRT too ...
Its just the monorail that i think is an utter waste of money. Why not expand the LRT instead of dividing its already sparse clientèle between two sides of the same apple?

hi, new to the site, thanks.
